Hummingbird Cottage

Geographic Location

• This cottage is located close to French Beach and across the road from the small, community beach known as Flea Beach (so-named because it is small, not because it has fleas!)

• A country setting, with trees and gardens
• 12 minutes by car from the coastal village of Sooke, on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC

• 60 minutes by car from the fishing village of Port Renfrew and the start of the West Coast Trail
• 60 minutes by car from Victoria, the capital city of the province of British Columbia

Bedrooms & Baths

• There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms
• The master bedroom is decorated in an African theme with a queen-sized bed, an en suite 4-piece bathroom and sliding doors to the hot tub area

• The second bedroom has twin beds and looks out to the front porch area and the ocean beyond

• The third bedroom has a double bed and also looks our to the front porch area

• These two bedrooms share the second bathroom

Living Room

• The living room is comfortably furnished with a leather sofa, side chairs, bright cushions and colourful rugs

• Unique appointments include original artwork and a glass-enclosed stove
• This room is open to the kitchen and dining areas with a sliding door to the outside back deck and hot tub area

• The library is just a few steps down from the living room and welcomes you with its inviting sitting area around a gas-burning fireplace

• The library is crammed with books and its bay window (with telescope) looks out to the porch area with distant glimpses of the sea

Kitchen & Dining Area

• The kitchen is fully equipped and eclectically decorated with assorted international treasures
• Light floods the area from skylights and a bay window

• There is a closed -off laundry area with washer and dryer

• The dining table is wrought iron with a glass top and seats six
• Sliding doors open to the outside back deck and the hot tub

** Three night minimum booking is required
** Weekly (7 nights for the price of 6) and Monthly rates are available
** Under certain conditions, we may allow the number of registered guests to exceed the number of available beds, at a cost of $20.00 CAD per guest, per night. There is no additional charge for children under the age of 10.

• Cleaning fee: $135.00 CAD per stay. Please note that stays longer than 7 nights may require additional cleaning services at $150.00 per cleaning
